Electricity Tender
Problem:
Christchurch Airport had a fixed term electricity supply contract that was expiring and wanted to tender its supply of electricity contract to get the best market rates
Solution:
Lumen undertook the request for proposal (RFP) process for Christchurch Airport and received time of use (TOU) offers and non-time of use (NTOU) responses from 4 electricity retailers including fixed price variable volume (FPVV) and spot offers. We carried out analysis using historical energy consumption and the offered rates and provided the results in a concise report laying out the options and our recommendations.
Results:
We managed to get the best rates and terms for Christchurch Airport at the time through a competitive tender process.
